Two people were killed in a clash between Awami League and BNP activists in Narsingdi's Raipura. Several people were injured.

The deceased were identified as Amin, 28, son of Khorshed Mia of Mohinipur village and Bashar, son of Barek Haji of the same village. They were both supporters of local Awami League leader Salam Mia. In the event of two casualties, panic and tensions are prevailing throughout the village.

Locals said that there was a conflict with Chanpur Union BNP president Samsu Member with the Joint Secretary of the Union Awami League, Abdur Salam Mia and Union Awami League joint secretary Sohag, focusing on the domination. In the wake of the conflict, the BNP leader Samsu Member and its supporters were without the area. They returned to the area after August 7.

With this, tensions between the two parties began. Even both sides fight and ammunition. At one point, Awami League leader Salam Mia and his supporters left the area. Salam Mia and his supporters wanted to return to the area around 8am on Friday.

Samsu member and his men stopped it. Later, both sides clashed with teta, ballam, da, knife and cocktail. One was killed on the spot and another was killed on the spot. Several people were injured.

Raipura police duty officer SI Jubair said, "I received news of the two victims in the clash." Police are going to the scene.

Officer -in -Charge of Raipura Police Station (OC) Adil Mahmud said Samsu Member and Salam Mia and their supporters were involved in the clash over the domination.
