Professor Ali Riaz, Vice-Chairman of the National Consensus Commission, said these things at a meeting organized with the Khilafat Majlis at the LD Hall of the National Parliament Building on Saturday. News agency UNB reported this information.

Ali Riaz said, 'It is possible to form a national consensus quickly through dialogue by involving all political parties.'

He said, 'You (Khilafat Majlis) are participating as part of this process. We started our work in a short time and could not give much time. However, we will continue our discussions based on the sincere opinions you have given.'

News agency BSS reported that on the second day of discussions with political parties, the National Consensus Commission also held discussions with the Bangladesh Labor Party today. The commission held its first dialogue with the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) last Thursday.

In addition to the Vice-Chairman of the National Consensus Commission, Professor Ali Riaz, members of the meeting included Safar Raj Hossain, Justice Emdadul Haque, Dr. Iftekharuzzaman, Dr. Badiul Alam Majumder and Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser Monir Haider.

The National Consensus Commission was formed under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser to the interim government, with the aim of building a national consensus on reforms. The commission began its activities on February 15.

The reform commissions formed in the first phase include the Constitutional Reform Commission, Public Administration Reform Commission, Electoral Reform Commission, Judiciary Reform Commission and Anti-Corruption Commission, requesting political parties to provide their specific opinions on the important recommendations mentioned in the report of the reform commission by March 13. The recommendations were sent to 38 political parties in the form of a spreadsheet, requesting them to provide their specific opinions on the important recommendations mentioned in the commission's report by March 13.
