The Press Wing of the Chief Adviser has clarified the news published that there will be no parade on Independence Day.
A press release sent by the Press Wing on Sunday (March 16) evening gave an explanation in this regard.
The release said that the news published that the parade will not be held on March 26 this year on Independence Day is not true. Due to the ongoing renovation work of the National Stadium, Dhaka, it is not possible to organize a parade in Dhaka this year like in the last few years. However, the interim government has decided to organize parades with due dignity in the remaining 63 districts of the country and felicitate the brave freedom fighters.
The release said that all the Deputy Commissioners have been given necessary instructions to take necessary steps in this regard.
Earlier in the afternoon, Senior Secretary of the Home Ministry, Nasimul Ghani, told reporters that this time too, a parade will not be organized on the great Independence Day on March 26. The Home Secretary said that there was no parade on December 16, and it will not be held this time either. We are now in a 'war mood', not in a mood to celebrate. When asked whether there is a law and order or any security risk on Independence Day, the Secretary said, "I do not see any risk."
