BNP National Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed said that no local government elections will be accepted before the national elections. National parliamentary elections must be held by next December because this government does not have jurisdiction over local government elections.
Salahuddin Ahmed said the above while speaking as the chief guest at a huge public meeting organized by the district BNP at Muktijoddha Maidan in Cox's Bazar on Monday (February 17) afternoon.
He called on the current interim government to immediately announce the roadmap for the national elections and prove its goodwill.
Salahuddin said that the political death and burial of the Awami League has been completed in Delhi. The political death of the Awami League in Bangladesh has been completed. The politics of the Awami League have also been completed. The UN Human Rights Commission report has proven Hasina to be a mass murderer. Therefore, the Awami League and Sheikh Hasina have no right to do politics in Bangladesh.
The Cox's Bazar District BNP organized this public meeting on various public demands, including keeping the price increase of daily necessities at a tolerable level, improving the deteriorating law and order situation, and announcing an electoral roadmap for a quick transition to a democratic path, and confronting the various conspiracies of the fallen fascists of the state.
After a long era, BNP held a large-scale rally in Cox's Bazar. Salahuddin Ahmed, a member of the BNP's national standing committee, spoke as the chief guest at this public meeting organized at Muktijoddha Maidan in Cox's Bazar town.
People came from different upazilas of the district in processions since morning to join the public meeting.
The public meeting, chaired by Cox's Bazar District BNP President Shahjahan Chowdhury and moderated by District BNP General Secretary Advocate Shamim Ara Swapna, was also addressed by BNP's Chittagong Divisional Organizing Secretary Mahbuber Rahman Shamim, BNP's Central Fishermen Affairs Secretary, former MP Lutfor Rahman Kajal, BNP's Co-Organizing Secretary Harunor Rashid and Barrister Mir Helal.
