The National Citizens Party (NCP) strongly condemned and protested the recent Israeli attack on Gaza, Palestine.

In a statement signed by NCP Joint Member Secretary (Office) Saleh Uddin Sifat on Wednesday (March 19) night, the party said that even after the signing of the ceasefire agreement, the Israeli forces are continuing airstrikes, which is a violation of international law and human rights. More than 400 innocent people have already lost their lives in these attacks.

It said that such attacks during the holy month of Ramadan are a gross violation of the ceasefire agreement and a crime against humanity. Israel's continued aggression is causing the loss of lives of many innocent people, including women and children, which is further increasing the suffering of the people of Gaza and hindering the path to a peaceful solution.

Humanitarian aid has been stopped due to the blockade, which is making Gaza uninhabitable. The UN Human Rights Commission has already warned about crimes against humanity by Israeli forces.

Stating that the people of Bangladesh have always stood in favor of the just rights of Palestine, the NCP said that they stand firmly with the Palestinians in their fight for justice and human rights.

The party said that peace-loving countries, the United Nations and international organizations should take action now. Israel should be tried for war crimes at the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the occupation, apartheid policies and crimes against humanity should be brought to an end.
