Dhaka: Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus, highly praising the role of Anjuman Mufidul Islam, which has been dedicated to serving humanity for decades, said, "We wish that there should be no unclaimed bodies. No dead body should remain unclaimed."
He said these things after inaugurating the new building of Anjuman Mofidul Islam, Anjuman JR Tower, in Kakrail on Monday (March 3) evening. Among others present at the time were - Advisers Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed and Ali Imam Majumdar, Anjumane Mofidul President Mufleh R Osmany and Vice President Golam Rahman.
Dr. Muhammad Yunus said, "We can protect everyone from becoming unclaimed, so that his relatives and friends are with him. He should be buried with dignity." This will not disrupt the activities of Anjuman Mofidul Islam, but we will honor them for highlighting these things.
After the inauguration of the new building, the Chief Adviser had Iftar with the orphan children. He said, I am fortunate to be here today. I have been hearing the name since childhood. It is a strange name, I did not know any explanation for this name, but there is one thing associated with it. I only know that 'unclaimed corpse'. I never knew who they are, but today I saw it with my own eyes. They come from such a world, if a body is lying there, they pick it up. It is a dreamy thing. No matter how remote, no matter how difficult the situation, that name comes from Anjuman Mofidul Islam. It seemed very surprising to me. Whose identity is not known but the news is coming every day, now I know that the response is across the country. I have never seen any of their statements in any newspaper. I do not know whether they do it or not, but I have not noticed that they are taking any praise for this work. They have done nothing, completely silently.
He said, 'This is a great opportunity for me. I really feel it. Noting that the institution has played a very commendable role during Covid-19, he said, “Today I have seen this institution with my own eyes.”
Dr. Yunus said, “We are proud to have such an institution in Bangladesh and hope that its programs will be expanded further.”
Anjuman Mufidul Islam is a Bangladeshi welfare organization specially designed to provide livelihood to orphans and the needy, which has been serving the poorest of the poor for decades.
Anjuman President Mufidul Islam Mufleh R Osmany said that the current market value of the land is Tk. 200 crore and the cost of construction of the building is about Tk. 90 crore.
He said they have received Tk. 26 crore from the government, which they see as a big help in addition to the grants received from various donors. ‘May Allah accept their donation.’
Food and Land Adviser Ali Imam Majumdar praised the organization’s president for handling the issues with prudence after facing some problems after the political change.
Finance Adviser Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed said that it is a very old organization and he is impressed with their dedicated service. He said, ‘Everyone knows Anjuman Mufidul Islam now. I am happy to be here with the chief adviser.’
Anjuman Mufidul Islam’s Executive Director Abdul Jalil and ICC Bangladesh President Mahbubur Rahman were present at the time.
