Dhaka: No pro-India-Pakistan politics be entertained in Bangladesh. Bangladesh can never be divided again, said Nahid Islam, convener of the Jatiya Nagorik Party.

He said these things at the launching ceremony of the 'Jatiya Nagorik Party' at Manik Mia Avenue in the capital on Friday (February 28) afternoon.

Nahid Islam said, we want to talk about the future. We want to talk about possibilities, dreams. We have come here today to realize that dream.

He said, we have broken the conspiracy of divided politics that was established in the country for the last 15 years in the mass uprising of July-August.

The program officially started after 4 pm. The party's leadership will be announced. According to top sources in the JNP, Nahid Islam, who left the post of adviser to the interim government, will be the convener of the party. Akhtar Hossain will be the member secretary.

The main organizer of the anti-discrimination student movement, Abdul Hannan Masud, said that Nahid is the Imam of Democracy. He did not bow down even in the face of oppression.

He said this at the launch ceremony of the new political party 'Jatiyo Nagorik Party' (JNP) at Manik Mia Avenue in the capital on Friday (February 28).

Abdul Hannan Masud said that the Bangladesh of the future will be the Bangladesh of democracy. This is our promise to the countrymen.

The ceremony officially started after 4 pm. The leadership of the party will be announced in it.

According to top sources in the JNP, Nahid Islam, who left the post of adviser to the interim government, will be the convener of the party. Akhtar Hossain will be the member secretary.

In addition, Samantha Sharmin and Ariful Islam Adeeb will be the senior joint conveners, and Dr. The names of Tasneem Zara and Nahida Sarwar Niva, Nasiruddin Patwari as the chief coordinator, Abdul Hannan Masud as the joint coordinator, Hasnat Abdullah as the chief organizer (southern region) and Sarjis Alam as the chief organizer (northern region) have been finalized.

A group of young people who were at the forefront of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the National Citizens Committee, which led the movement against the dictator Sheikh Hasina, are the initiators of forming this party.

Security has been tightened around Manik Mia Avenue on the occasion of the rally. Those arriving at the rally have to pass through metal detectors and archways to enter.

A new political party of the youth, ‘Jatiyo Nagorik Party’, has debuted. The party debuted at a program on Manik Mia Avenue in the capital on Friday (February 28) afternoon. Leaders of various political parties including BNP-Jamaat were present as invited guests at the program.

The Holy Quran was recited at around 4:15 pm. Then, readings were made from the Holy Gita, Tripitaka and Bible. Then the national anthem was played.

The name of the new political party formed by the anti-discrimination student movement and the Jatiya Nagorik Committee(JNC), 'Jatiyo Nagorik Party'(JNP), will debut today, Friday. According to the party's decision, Nahid Islam will remain as the convener of the 'Jatiyo Nagorik Party' and Akhtar Hossain will remain as the member secretary.

A massive public gathering is being prepared at Manik Mia Avenue around the party's debut at 3 pm.

The leaders of the JNC said, 'Tomorrow (today) the new party will debut in a massive public gathering. The party's name may be National Citizens Party in English, 'Jatiyo Nagarik Party' in Bengali. Apart from that, it is known that the party may participate in the next election as a strong opponent by registering under any one of the five symbols: 'Mustibaddha Haat', 'Elephant', 'Royal Bengal Tiger' and 'Shapla', 'Ilish'.

Sources said that initially the 151-member convening committee of the 'JNP' will be announced. Later, that committee may be expanded to 300 members. At this time, leaders from the 328 committees at the upazila level of the JNC will join the new political party. Although it was initially thought that the party would be formed with the four top posts of convener, member secretary, chief organizer and spokesperson, it is known that five more posts will be added to it. In the meantime, 9 names have been finalized for the top 9 posts, including the selection of 70 people.

The source also said that the initial decision has been made to make Hasnat Abdullah the chief organizer of the southern region and Sarjis Alam the chief organizer of the northern region. Apart from this, it is known that the top posts will be held by the convener of the JNC Nasiruddin Patwari, spokesperson Samantha Sharmin, joint conveners Sarwar Tushar, Tasnim Zara and Ariful Islam Adeeb, member secretary of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Arif Sohel, and chief organizer Abdul Hannan Masud.

Extensive preparations are being made to make the new party's debut event a success. The overall preparation work, including the stage for the event, began yesterday morning, Thursday. Permission has been obtained from the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). Top leaders of various political parties including BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami have been invited.

Meanwhile, Nahid Islam resigned from the posts of advisor to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology on Tuesday. His resignation was announced from the office of the chief advisor yesterday afternoon. There had been rumors of Nahid Islam's resignation for a month. Nahid Islam had also said several times that he would resign and join the new party. That is why he left his state post.

After submitting his resignation, Nahid Islam said, "I felt that it was more necessary to be on the streets than to be in the government, so I resigned."
