Gold prices fall for the second time
The price of gold has fallen for the second time in the country's market this year. The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has reduced the price of gold per bhori by Tk. 2,403. As a result, the price of a 22-carat bhori gold from now on is Tk. 1,50,967.
BAJUS announced this information in a notification on Thursday (February 27). The new price will be effective from Friday.
The notification said that the price has been reduced in view of the decrease in the price of acid gold (pucca gold) in the local market. The new price will be effective from Friday.
According to the new price, the price of a bhori gold of the best quality or 22-carat has been reduced by Tk. 2,403 to Tk. 1,50,967. The price of a 21-carat bhori gold has been reduced by Tk. 2,298 to Tk. 1,44,097.
In addition, the price of one 18-carat gold has been reduced by 1,971 taka to 1,23,510 taka. And the price of one 18-carat gold in the traditional method has been reduced by 1,679 taka to 1,1722 taka.
Earlier, on February 24, the price of one 22-carat gold of the best quality was reduced by 1,155 taka to 1,53,370 taka.
Despite the reduction in the price of gold, the price of silver remains unchanged. The price of one 22-carat silver is 2,578 taka, one 21-carat silver is 2,449 taka, one 18-carat silver is 2,111 taka and one 18-carat silver is 1,586 taka.
