The people of the entire country want to return to the democratic path. But doubts have arisen as to whether the government is sincere in holding elections, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has commented.

He said this at a program organized by Chhatra Dal at the Krishibid Auditorium in the capital on Wednesday (February 19) afternoon.

Mirza Fakhrul said that some fascists can apologize and do politics; such comments by the local government adviser are not acceptable. He said that the people will not accept it if the genocide perpetrators return to politics.

The BNP Secretary General said that the question now arises whether this is a strategy to form a new political party. The people will not accept the government's patronage for forming a new party.

The BNP Secretary General also commented that the interim government wants to give space to fascists for their own interests.

He also said that if the interim government loses its neutrality, another neutral government will be needed. After my comment, many people said, we want another one-eleven. But if you pay attention, everyone will understand that we (BNP) are the biggest victims of one-eleven. So I want to warn you, if you try or think of one-eleven again, the people will never accept it.
