Regarding the debut of a new political party, Local Government Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan said, hopefully all political parties, including the new one, will be public welfare oriented. He said, I am not associated with the activities of the party because I am currently in charge of the government.
He said these things in response to questions from journalists after an exchange of views with local villagers at Akbarpur High School grounds in his village of Muradnagar, Cumilla on Thursday (February 27) evening.
He said, I will not be able to be associated with any political party from the place where I have been given the responsibility of democratic transformation of this government. However, my expectation is that not only the new political party, but all political parties in Bangladesh will be public welfare oriented. Let the people be the main goal of their political activities.
