Tarique Rahman is the main actor in ousting the fascism: Mirza Fakhrul
Dhaka: Commenting that the main actor who brought the fall of fascism is BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman, the party's Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir added that establishing just politics in the country is possible only with Tarique Rahman.
He made this comment while speaking at the Chuadanga district BNP biennial conference on Saturday (November 23).
Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that the Awami League had transformed into a terrible dictatorship through repression and torture, and in the end, they fled the country due to the anger of the people.
He said that after reforms, to make it sustainable, people's support will be needed, and an elected government is needed to do that. Saying that BNP does not want elections for power, Mirza Fakhrul said that BNP wants elections to protect democracy. It wants elections to establish people's rights.
He said that the way Awami League has used the police; this cannot happen in a democratic country. Awami League has nothing but terrorism and corruption.
Mirza Fakhrul, warning that BNP will never compromise on the issue of democracy, said, "The Awami League has tried to erase all traces by distorting history. The real history cannot be erased by doing this." Mirza Fakhrul, commenting that BNP has no problem with students, said, "A new sun has risen, we want to bring the youth forward."
