In the meeting, Trump offered to sell state-of-the-art fighter jets to India. The two leaders also pledged to increase bilateral trade.

Regarding India's possible role in ending the Russia-Ukraine war, Modi said, 'I support Donald Trump's initiative in finding a possible solution to end the war. Global public opinion says that India has played a neutral role in this war. But I want to clarify one thing - India's role was not neutral, we have always been in favor of peace.'

Addressing the media, Indian Prime Minister Modi said, 'President Trump always puts his own country ahead of everything else, which in my view is a commendable act. We share the same view on this issue.'

It is worth noting that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Washington for the first time after taking office as US President for the second term. There, the two leaders participated in discussions on important issues of bilateral relations.
