A set of decisions to improve the law and order situation of the government

The core committee on law and order has taken several decisions to keep the law and order situation normal and to improve the overall situation further.

The core committee meeting was held on Monday (February 24) under the chairmanship of Home Affairs Adviser Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury. The core committee also said that the decisions will be implemented quickly.

The decisions taken in the meeting are:

  1. Check posts will be increased at important points in the capital. The number of patrols will be increased in crime-prone areas. A joint force will be formed by the Bangladesh Army, various units of the police, and BGB members to conduct intensive operations in target areas.
  2. An additional patrol of the Navy will be deployed on some important roads of the capital and an additional patrol of the Coast Guard will be deployed in some areas.
  3. The heads of various police units, deputy police commissioners, brigade heads deployed in the army field and other responsible officers will brief the media from time to time in each incident.
  4. Motorcycles will be purchased for DMP police members, BGB, Ansar and Bangladesh Coast Guard members, so that criminals can be caught by patrolling the alleys immediately.
  5. Combined operations will be conducted in possible places where robbers and dacoits can be located and they will be arrested.
  6. Patrols will be increased by law enforcement agencies outside Dhaka city, especially in Tongi, Basila, Keraniganj and Munshiganj areas.
  7. 500 APBN members will be assigned to DMP and work with the police.
  8. Law enforcement agencies will take immediate steps to bring them under the law by making an updated list of police station-based terrorists.
  9. Various steps will be taken to disseminate true information against lies, rumors and propaganda.

Among others present at the meeting were Local Government Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan, Housing and Public Works Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser Khoda Bokhs Chowdhury and senior law enforcement officials.
