Four DIGs of Police have been sent on compulsory retirement.
They were sent on retirement in a separate notification signed by Senior Secretary of the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs Nasimul Gani on Sunday (February 23).
The four officers sent on compulsory retirement are - DIG of Anti-Terrorism Unit Md. Nisharul Arif, DIG of Naval Police Md. Abdul Quddus Amin, DIG of Highway Police Md. Azad Mia and Amena Begum.
The notification said that these four people have been retired from government service in public interest as per the provisions of Section 45 of the Government Services Act, 2018 (Act No. 57 of 2018).
They will get retirement benefits as per the rules. The notification also said that this order issued in public interest will come into effect immediately.
