Police will not act illegally as a porter of any party: Home Affairs Adviser

Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Rtd) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said, the police will not act unprofessionally and illegally as a porter of any party, implementing any party's agenda or following their unfair and unjust instructions. 

He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the closing parade of the training of the 40th BCS Police Cadre trainee Assistant Superintendents of Police at Bangladesh Police Academy Sarda, Rajshahi on Sunday (February 23) morning.

He said, the Bangladesh state belongs to all citizens, not to any party, not to any group, not to any community. Bangladesh Police is an independent employee of the Republic.

He said, as an employee of the Republic of Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Police will work tirelessly to establish the overall security of all citizens of the state and the rule of law. You will be strengthened by this oath in today's closing ceremony.

Earlier, the 40th BCS police cadre trainees inspected the closing parade of the training of assistant police superintendents. There were a total of 66 trainees in this batch who were supposed to participate in the closing parade at least four months ago. It was delayed due to various complications. Finally, 6 trainee assistant police superintendents of this batch were dropped on various charges. The remaining 57 and 3 trainee assistant police superintendents of the 38th BCS police participated in today's parade.

To enhance the beauty of the parade, other trainees of the academy joined them in a total of 10 contingents and joined the closing parade. Home Affairs Adviser Lt. General(Rtd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury received the salute at the closing parade.

Major General SM Asadul Haque, Area Commander of 11th Infantry Division, Rajshahi Medical University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Jawadul Haque, Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner Khondaker Azim Ahmed, Additional IG of Bangladesh Police Abu Naser Mohammad Khaled, RMP Police Commissioner Mohammad Abu Sufian Rajshahi and various high-ranking government officials were present at the event.
