A member of the Central Reserve Police Force of India shot dead two colleagues in the state of Manipur, India.
The incident took place at around 8 pm on Thursday (February 13) at the Lamphel police camp in Manipur's capital Imphal. Indian media outlet NDTV reported this information.
The report said that the policeman committed suicide by shooting his colleagues. His name is Havildar Sanjay Kumar.
Eight others were also seriously injured in his shooting. He committed the murder using his official weapon. Then he shot himself. The policeman who was shot was a member of the 120th Battalion of the Central Reserve Force. He opened fire at a constable and a sub-inspector.
High-ranking officials rushed to the spot after the incident. The injured have been taken to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Hospital in Imphal.
