Dhaka: An organization called 'Bangladesh Ganatantrik Chattra Sangsad' has emerged under the leadership of former coordinators who left the anti-discrimination student movement. The organization has announced the central full committee of this newly emerged student organization.
Convener of the organization Abu Baker Majumder announced the name of the full committee at a press conference held at the Madhur Canteen of Dhaka University at 4:30 pm on Thursday (February 27).
A six-member central committee has been formed with Abu Baker Majumder, one of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, as the convener and office secretary Zahid Ahsan as the member secretary.
The other members of the committee are senior joint convener Touhid Mohammad Siam, senior joint member secretary Rifat Rashid, main organizer Tahmid Al Muddassir Chowdhury and Ashrafa Khatun as the spokesperson of the organization.
Meanwhile, after announcing the central committee, central committee convener Abu Baker Majumder announced the names of the incumbents of the Dhaka University Ganatantrik Chattra Sangsad. Former coordinator Abdul Quader has been elected as the convener of the DU GCS, senior joint convener Limon Mahmud Hasan, member secretary Mohir Alam, senior member secretary Al Amin Sarkar, main organizer Hasib Al Islam, spokesperson Rafia Rehnuma Hridi.
