In the current situation in the country, Adviser to the Ministry of Home Affairs and Agriculture, Lieutenant General (Rtd.) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has urged people not to take law into their own hands.
The adviser made this appeal to the media while attending the inauguration ceremony of the 'Farmer's Mini Cold Storage and Farm' apps at the Horticulture Center in the Rajalakh area of Savar on Wednesday (February 26) morning as the chief guest.
He said that joint forces including the police are working to improve the law and order situation, and the people need to be more aware of crime prevention. Families should be taught to prevent children from criminal activities.
He also said that the army, RAB, and BGB are working alongside the police. Still, some incidents are happening. In those cases, criminals are being brought under the law quickly. At this time, he called for increasing public awareness in crime prevention.
The Home Affairs Adviser said that since criminals are more active at night, special surveillance is being maintained at that time. It is being seen whether the law enforcement agencies are performing their duties properly.
At this time, the adviser said about agriculture, due to the increase in population in the country, agricultural land has decreased, our farmers are meeting much of the demand by producing good products. The government is working in cooperation with them. In continuation of this, this app was inaugurated today for their convenience.
