Chief Adviser to the interim government Dr. Muhammad Yunus has met with leaders of various political parties to discuss various ongoing issues in the country.
The meeting began at 4 pm on Wednesday (December 4) at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital.
Earlier, leaders of various political parties started arriving at the Foreign Service Academy one by one from 3:30 pm. It is learnt that a 5-member delegation led by BNP standing committee member Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain has participated. The other members of the delegation are Dr. Abdul Moin Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain.
The delegation, comprising central leaders led by Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, participated in the meeting. Representatives of other political parties also participated in the meeting.
However, the Jatiya Party was not invited by the government, said the party's Secretary General Mujibul Haque Chunnu.
Earlier, the Chief Adviser held a meeting with the leaders of the anti-discrimination student movement in Jamuna on Tuesday (December 3) evening to discuss various ongoing issues in the country. It is learnt that the Chief Adviser will meet with the leaders of religious communities tomorrow, Thursday.
